What is Tech216?

Tech216 is a trusted partner for companies from Europe and IT providers from Tunisia.

We help you find and collaborate with high-quality Tunisian IT providers, facilitate your access to Tunisia’s tech talent and support successful outsourcing project specification and implementation.

Tech216 is made possible by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH in Tunisia through its Digital Transformation Program within the framework of the Special Initiative “Decent Work for a Just Transition” of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).

Our core team

Saoussen Sahbani

Team Lead Tech216

Saoussen, team lead of the Tech216 team and Business and Invest Unit at the GIZ in Tunisia, has extensive professional experience in the area of trade and commerce both in France and Tunisia. Throughout her career, both in France and Tunisia, she managed high-level partnerships and investor relations.

Mohamed Dhab

Digital Transformation Expert 

Business development, public digital strategy, information technology, innovation management, HR transformation and IT governance – Mohamed’s knowledge and working experience abroad is extensive. He studied Economy in London and Tunis and worked on outstanding projects with the Tunisian government, from the Office of the Prime Minister to the Ministry of Communication Technologies, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Social Affairs, Ministry of Energy, and others. 

Ahmed Bouden

Digital Transformation and Outsourcing Expert

Ahmed is a digital transformation and outsourcing expert based in the Digital Transformation Center in Tunisia. He is experienced in internal and external digital strategy development for companies and holds a Master’s degree in Digital Management.

Zohra Bouzid

Digital Transformation and Nearshoring Expert 

Zohra is an expert in digital transformation and nearshoring at the Digital Transformation Center in Tunis. With a degree in chemistry from the Faculty of Science in Tunis, she advises numerous partner companies on how to create and establish tech teams in Tunisia. She initiates cooperation between Tunisian companies in the IT sector and European companies in need of support in this field.

Khaled Khalifa

Digital Transformation Specialist

Khaled, a digital transformation specialist with over 15 years experience in software engineering and development, has held various positions throughout his career. As CEO of iPalm, he is passionately committed to promoting digital literacy and digital inclusion. Currently pursuing a master’s degree in Information Technology and Living Complexity, his main focus is on the convergence of AI ethics with sustainability and democratic values.

Jörn Bousselmi

Managing Director of AHK Tunisia

Jörn is experienced in advising German investors and seeking new market prospects. He is a German lawyer who has been working for more than 25 years for the network of German Chambers of Commerce abroad, particularly in Morocco and France.

Dr. Andreas Bootz

Senior Manager at BMW

Andreas has served BMW in several capacities since 2003. Specialised mainly in the areas of R&D and Project Management, he has managed projects with ZF, Bosch, Continental and thyssenkrupp.

Dr. Andreas Reincke

Ambassador (ret.)

Dr. Andreas was the German Ambassador to Tunisia, Syria and Palestine between 2014 to 2020. Prior to that, he was EU’s Special Representative to the Middle East Peace Process. From 2021 to 2022, he acted as the Senior Advisor for the Digital Cooperation with North Africa at BMZ.
